Review Policy

My Review Queue for ebooks is now re-opened! 18/12/2014


I would LOVE to review a book for you! Just to let you know though, all books that are reviewed by me, Tiffy/Laura (Whatever you want to call me), here at Curiosity Killed My Stupidity were either bought with my own money or provided to me by one of the higher powers in publishing or sometimes, the author themselves! (If this happens it will be stated in my review). I receive absolutely no money for reviewing these books (nor will I accept money in exchange for a good review).

Genres:

The genres I accept are Paranormal Romance, Young Adult, Dystopia, Fantasy, Supernatural books in general.

I will consider books you genuinely think I will enjoy.

I don't accept Non-Fiction, Religious, Political, Historical fiction, Children's books and Chick Lit bores me the majority of the time.

Formats:

I do prefer hardback or paperback but I will accept epub as well, if needs be. Note: Reviews will take longer for epub books as print books have priority. I do accept self-published or independently published books but only in print form(Sorry!)

Series:

I would be happy to review a book at any point in a series, but please provide me with the previous books so I can get a feel for the world and characters.

Reviews:

I try to always give my one hundred per cent honest opinion. If mine clashes with yours I apologize but I won't change it. In my reviews I generally include:

• The Title and Author(Linked to the Good-reads page)
• The cover.
• The date it was released.
• Page length.
• The genres it fits into.
• Links to Amazon(Com and UK), Author website and a fansite(if there is one).
• The blurb.
• My opinion on the plot.
• What I liked about the book.
• What I disliked about the book.
• My overall verdict.
• My favourite quote(s)
• Book Trailers (Where available)

I post my reviews here on my blog and I post a link to the reviews here on the relevant Good-reads page. If the book is amazing, I'll recommend it to anyone I meet. I usually post a review within a week after READING the book. I will notify you to let you know when it'll be on the blog. Please note that June, July and August are my prime reviewing months as I have much more free time. Also as a little incentive, I know the difference between your/you're, their/there/they're and its/it's. But if you ever spot a mistake with the above words in my reviews PLEASE let me know! I'd be horrified to think that people thought I didn't have a good grasp on basic English grammar.

What you have to do:

For a review I need:

• Title of the book 
• Cover art, or link to the cover art 
• Author 
• Date of book's release 
• Blurb. 
• Equally a link to the Goodreads page would suffice for all of the above.
• Genres. 
• Format of book you plan to provide for review. 
• If you want me to do a giveaway.
• If you are the author, publicist, or publisher representative. 
• Your name and email.
• The publishing company. 
• Additional comments, questions, queries etc.

I know it does seem like a lot but really it makes the reviewing process quicker. You can email all this to curiositykilledmystupidity@gmail.com and I will reply to let you know if I would be interested in reviewing your book. Also I will send you my address if you plan on sending me a print copy of a book to review. If I don't reply back to you within three weeks it's safe to say either I'm not interested in reviewing your book(Sorry!) or I have way too many books on my plate. In that case I will come back here and state that my reviewing queue is closed for the moment.
