Frigid by J. Lynn (Book Review)

Series: Frigid #1
Release Date:  July 15th 2013
Pages: 252
Genres: Romance, New Adult, Contemporary.
Websites: Author Amazon(Com)  Amazon(UK)

Blurb:  'For twenty-one-year-old Sydney, being in love with Kyler isn't anything new. They'd been best friends ever since he pushed her down on the playground and she made him eat a mud pie.

Somewhere over the years, she fell for him and fell hard. The big problem with that? Kyler puts the 'man' in man-whore.

He's never stayed with a girl longer than a few nights, and with it being their last year in college, Syd doesn't want to risk their friendship by declaring her love.'

Plot:  Okay, so the plot wasn't one hundred per cent unique but you know what? I don't care. It's supposed to be a 'light' read at 252 pages, not a heavy in depth psychology of romance. I love friends to couple books. They're always so cute. And everyone always knows they're going to end up together except the couple themselves. Syd and Kyler are a pair of such 'friends'.

Likes: Oh this book was so cute, if a tad predictable. I loved it though. It's a perfect book to read as a form of escapism. You don't really have to concentrate on the plot to understand what's going on but you can still enjoy the novel. I loved the fact that they're snowed into this house and someone is slowly sabotaging their amenities. The annoying thing is, well, it's so predictable as to who's doing the sabotaging and yet they're like 'Oh we must have really bad luck.' I love the character of Sydney as a) she's a bookworm and sacrificed her coffee for her e-reader, b) the girl's got serious self-confidence issues, this made her really accessible to me and c) She's quite witty.
I also loved Kyler. Man, I don't even care that he's a man-whore. He loves Syd and that's what matters. And I hear he also has quite the set of abs :D I want a Kyler. Seriously. If someone out there has one, you can feel free to gift wrap him and send him directly to me!

Dislikes: They fought over stupid stuff. Especially at the end, I was like 'GET OVER YOURSELVES!!' Oh and it was too short. Can't wait for the sequel.

Verdict:  8/10 Brilliant. As usual.

Book Trailer:

Fave Quotes: "How much snow are they calling for?"

"Somewhere between a lot and holy fuck."

"Nice boxer shorts. Did your mom get them for you?”

“No. Your
 mom did."
